Chanukah Home Tour 2017

I am so excited to share my Chanukah home tour with you! Chanukah starts tonight so I wanted to get into the holiday spirit and decorate our home with festive finds. Stringing up lights, displaying our menorahs, and lighting the candles are a few of my favorite holiday things. There are few things that make me happier than the glow of the twinkling lights throughout our home….Chanukah is the festival of lights, after all! There is no time of year that I love staying home as much as I do when the Chanukah decor is out.

I began with our mantlepiece, the first thing you see when you walk into our apartment. Starting with our beautiful menorah in the center, I added some blue and silver accents including little ornaments and glitter pinecones. On each end, I added some mercury glass candlesticks and votives. I made this DIY “Happy Hanukah” banner a few years ago and love hanging it over the fireplace. I couldn’t resist stringing up my blue and white twinkling lights around the exterior of the mantle. To complete the look, I hung up a blue and silver ribbon on our mirror.

On our table, I set our blue and white tablecloth with holiday-themed plates and napkins. If you’ve been following me for a little while, you know how much I love fresh flowers! I knew that these blue hydrangeas would be the perfect centerpiece for my tablescape. No Chanukah celebration is complete without hot latkes (potato pancakes) with a matching spatula and sufganiyot (jelly donuts)! And the chocolate lover in me had to have these silver and blue chocolate-covered oreos!

The adults shouldn’t have all the holiday fun! I took out a few new Chanukah toys for Adina to enjoy this month. She loves playing with this plush menorah with removable candles and flipping through this adorable interactive Jewish holiday book. Adina had lots of fun taking all of the dreidels out of the vase and putting them back in. I can’t wait until she’s old enough to actually play dreidel and eat the chocolate gelt. I also sprinkled a few of our family menorahs on our built-in-shelves to add some holiday cheer to our living room!

I just love the holidays… it brings together family and friends, there are endless holiday treats to look forward to, and the twinkling lights always puts a smile on my face. I hope you enjoyed my holiday home tour as much as I enjoyed welcoming you into my home! I’ve done my best to link what items I could above. A lot of items are HomeGoods finds or items that I’ve had for a few years. If you have any specific questions on items that aren’t linked, feel free to reach out because I’d love to help! Now we’re ready to celebrate! Happy Chanukah!
