Pretty In Pink

Happy Friday! Who else is getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit, now that it’s February? I don’t know about anyone else, but between layering up for the cold weather and dressing extra cozy this time of year, it seems like I’ve been exclusively wearing muted colors like grey and black for months. I don’t need a special reason to wear warmer tones, but the month of love is the perfect excuse to bring some color back into my wardrobe! Since the 14th is less than one week away, I thought I’d share some casual Valentine’s Day outfit inspiration.

This outfit is a little more subtle - it’s pink, but it’s not overly girly. I love the rosy color of this turtleneck sweater and how it looks with Adina’s sweet kiss print dress and adorable pea coat. I paired it with black skinny jeans and black booties but you could wear it with a pair or jeans and flats or leggings and tall boots. I like that this look doesn’t shout V-day - it’s something you could wear all year round.

I got to break in this sweater last week and it was so comfortable! Adina and I escaped the cold weather and warmed up with some hot chocolate at a local coffee shop. I think I may have a mini choco-holic on my hands because I let her have one sip of it and she wouldn’t give it back! You know what they say - the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree ;) We had fun walking around with our festive heart balloons - I was sure they’d fly away before we made it home, but Adina even managed to hold them for a while without letting them go. Now that she’s walking, there’s no stopping her!

If you’re not big on Valentine’s Day, or aren’t planning on donning a fancy dress, this is the outfit for you! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

xoxo, Ariel
